Hyatt has launched a membership challenge for American Airlines elite members, which is suitable for North American friends.
Hyatt Globalist Challenge (American Airlines)
In 2019, American Airlines and Hyatt established a partnership, allowing dual elite members (both Hyatt and American Airlines elite members) to link their accounts and earn points and miles for both programs when staying at Hyatt hotels or flying with American Airlines.
From September 12 to November 30, American Airlines elite members (Gold or above) can register for the Hyatt membership challenge. Upon successful registration, they will be upgraded to Explorist and have 90 days to stay 10 nights to extend their membership until February 2025.
If they are American Airlines Platinum Pro or Executive Platinum members, they can upgrade to Globalist by staying 20 nights during the challenge period, with the membership valid until February 2025.
if you are a Preferred Platinum or Executive Platinum member from the US, you can consider participating in this activity to match your status to Hyatt Globalist. During the Q4 promotion period from October 6th to November 30th, every 3 nights at Hyatt can earn 3000 points. The challenge can be combined with the Q4 promotion, which can be achieved at zero cost or even a positive return to obtain Globalist status.
For employees of large companies, you can participate in the Large Enterprise Challenge.
PS: If you register for the challenge activity on November 30th, the 90-day challenge period will end on February 28th. If the last night of the challenge happens to be February 28th (check-out). Is it possible to directly extend the membership until February 2026?
Or, if you don't add your membership number on the last night and add it later after March 1st, will your membership be extended until February 2026?
Personally, I think the possibility is high.
