Once again, I found myself checking into a familiar favorite – The Palazzo Versace Macau. It is an abode I've adored and returned to many times over.
Located in Cotai, Macau's most bustling district, Versace's marvelous creation is part of the newest integrated resort - The Grand Lisboa Palace. This resort hosts three distinct hotels: the Grand Lisboa Macau, The Palazzo Versace Macau, and The Karl Lagerfeld Hotel tower - each bearing its unique style.
However, the spotlight today shines on Palazzo Versace Macau. This architectural beauty is the third of its kind globally and proudly stands as Versace's first venture into Asia. Its siblings reside in Australia's Gold Coast and the Palace in Dubai - all testament to the style and luxury Versace is renowned for.
Meticulous Design
Palazzo Versace Macau tends to be more suitable for female guests. The architecture of the hotel building was directed by Donatella Versace, the sister of the founder of Versace.
The splendid details of the building pay homage to classic elegance, down to the very door handles which are crafted with exquisite precision. This epitomizes Versace's philosophy of 'opulent minimalism', maintaining the brand's consistent Italian palatial flair.
Every corner is imbued with the Versace logo, the visage of Medusa from Greek mythology. Her beauty and charm draw people in, making it impossible to look away.
Another highlight within the Palazzo Versace Macau are the various Versace fashion sketches hung on the walls. A display that certainly exhibits the brand's enduring charm and fashion prowess over the years.
The Pools of Palazzo Versace Macau
The swimming pool, in my opinion, is one of the most photogenic spots in the entire hotel. Both indoor and outdoor pools are adorned with pure white and gold details, with complex mosaic patterns at the bottom of the pool, which are incredibly beautiful.
The Culinary Treasures
The Tiffany blue-themed Carillon Lounge comes highly recommended. It embodies the classic Italian palace style.
Even the choice of tableware at the Carillon Lounge exudes meticulousness. They use dining sets from a collaboration between Versace and Rosenthal, a porcelain brand celebrated for its artworks.
Sitting on the custom-made exquisite furniture elevates the entire dining experience, making it feel particularly ceremonial.
The other restaurant is called Ristorante Don Alfonso 1890. It was originally a Michelin-starred restaurant run by a southern Italian family. More specifically, it offers traditional cuisine from the Sorrento Peninsula and Amalfi Coast of Italy.
The Rooms of Palazzo Versace Macau
The Palazzo Versace Macau hotel building boasts over 200 guest rooms and suites.
The rooms exude a neoclassical vibe, furnished entirely with pieces from their own Versace Home collection.
Rooms are embellished with specially customized textiles and decorations with Chinese patterns, which form a charming contrast with the high-end furniture from the Versace Home collection, famed Italian terrazzo flooring, and hand-laid mosaics, comprehensively creating a fashionable lifestyle taste of Versace.
Conclusion
All in, Palazzo Versace Macau is an irresistible blend of timeless decadence and modern elegance, beckoning the discerning traveler to immerse in an unparalleled Versace experience. A stay here isn't just about taking a trip; it's about stepping into a Versace lifestyle.
